1. FAVORITE SELF-CARE TIP?
As a woman in my 40’s I think that everything related to self-care these days is connected to 2 things: Sleep & Stress Reduction. I realize now that my immune system, my mood, my energy, and my ability to show patience as a Mother are all better when these 2 things are in sync. So my best self-care tip would be to carve out time each day to do something that you love that reduces stress, and to try to get 8 hours of sleep a night if at all possible (much easier said than done of course). When I feel stressed, I remove myself for a moment to take a walk alone or I read in a quiet room. I practice meditation when I can and I try to carve out time each day to do something that makes me happy (these days that includes thinking of fun home decor, lifestyle/entertainment ideas, recipes, etc. for my new Insta page I started just over 3 months ago when Covid hit and I was quarantined at home with 2 teen boys after our move to a brand new city).
2. YOUR BIGGEST INSPIRATION TO DATE AND WHY?
3. ONE PIECE OF ADVICE YOU WOULD LIKE TO SHARE WITH OTHERS?
4. WHAT IS YOUR SECRET PASSION?
People who know me know I love a good Rom-Com, but not everyone knows I’m actually quite obsessed with Hallmark movies – especially at Christmas time. Anytime I visit a little village or small town I love I find myself saying “It should be in a Hallmark movie.” I’ve been a romantic dreamer ever since I was a little girl. My 2 teen boys and husband do not share in my love of these movies at home so I try to steal a few moment to myself after everyone is fast asleep. This actually falls back into my stress reduction category from above. We all need our own time to do whatever it is that makes us feel Joy – especially after this sad, strange, unpredictable, and unforgettable 2020 we’ve all had.
