Six cities. One final night. And a reminder of why we do what we love.
Every Labor Day, Silked celebrates the work, passion, and love behind the lives we’re creating. This year, that story took us on the road, all the way to Utah.
Different city. Different hotel. Different pillow. Same Silked.
And somehow, it brought the meaning of our Labor Day tradition full circle with Silked and Music. This summer was filled with Yaleo - The Ultimate Santana Experience Tribute Show rehearsals, travel, hotel rooms, flights, long days, late nights, and six cities along the way.
Our final tour stop brought us to Utah.
One Final Night.
We performed outdoors, surrounded by nature, with fragrant lavender summer air wafting through the venue, and more than 800 people gathered in front of us.
And then something happened that is difficult to describe.
All of the work that had gone into getting there suddenly came back to us.
As love.
Hundreds of people had chosen to spend their evening with us. They came to listen, dance, sing, and experience something together.
Standing on that stage, there was this incredible exchange between the performers and the audience.
We had poured so much into getting there. And they gave it right back.
That’s the Thing About a Labor of Love. Most of the time, you don’t see the result while you’re doing the work.
You see the early mornings.
The late nights.
The flights.
The rehearsals.
The meetings.
The sacrifices.
The hotel rooms.
The things that didn’t go according to plan. You keep going because you believe in what you’re creating. Then every once in a while, life gives you one of those moments where you can actually see the fruits of your labor. Utah was one of ours.
It reminded us that when something is created with love, that energy has a way of finding its way back to you.
Silked Came Along for the Journey
Of course, Silked was there too because why not? All of our products have been made to travel and function with life on the go and at home. It's because of this same frequency of love that our Pillow Sleeve traveled in the suitcase, went onto another hotel pillow, and became part of another night away from home while on this Awakening Tour.
