When FedEx Small Business Grant Content voting closed on March 8th (International Women's Day), we had no idea what the future would hold. Now with the uncertainty of the world all we can do is hope for brighter days! On March 23rd we got the news that we made it to the next round!
FedEx shared that they were thrilled to say CONGRATULATIONS - Silked is a Top 100 Finalist in the 2020 FedEx Small Business Grant Contest! Our business rose to the top of the thousands of entries. The Top 100 finalists were selected based on several factors, including their business stories, plans for using the grant money, website navigation and product/service offering, brand alignment to FedEx and use of social media. They are impressed and inspired by all of the stories and look forward to getting to know everyone better through the second-round submission.
SECOND ROUND OF SUBMISSION YOU SAY?
Well, that's where it gets interesting. Both founders live in Los Angeles CA one of our many states hit by this virus and with mandatory orders in place to "Stay At Home" we had to adjust and think quickly so we could FILM a video with the two answering FedEx's question to us.
THE RULES/GUIDELINES: To remain in consideration, you now must complete your second-round submission in video form no later than 12pm EST (Noon ET) on March 23, 2020, answering the following question:
**What is your passion as an individual and as a business owner, and how is that passion reflected in your business?**.

FedEx is set to announce the Top 12 winners on May 4h on the FedEx® Small Business Grant Contest website and on the FedEx® Small Business Center and may include a live announcement on FedEx social channels.
